Other than developing, manufacturing, and providing medical devices to hospitals and consumers, Philips has also been active in healthcare-oriented service innovation. We are currently developing and deploying services around sustainable consulting for hospitals. The healthcare industry is currently one of the most polluting industries in society. Generating significant amounts of waste, using a lot of energy, and utilising big numbers of single-use products, it becomes more and more difficult to comply with sustainability goals. Through extensive analysis of systems, clinical workflows, and general procedures an opportunity yield can be established. These opportunities can then be translated into advice and interventions to minimize carbon emissions over time.

I have also been working on tool development and strategising procedures for the deployment of these analyses. Designing the proposition to be more scalable, structured, powerful, and efficient.
